How to Use NJ Impex Melt & Pour Soap Base

1. Cut: Slice the 1 kg soap base into small, uniform cubes (about 1 to 2 cm) using a sharp knife so it melts evenly.
2. Melt:
   • Microwave: Place cubes in a heat-safe glass container. Heat in 30-second bursts at 50% power, stirring gently between intervals to avoid boiling.
   • Double Boiler: Melt over low heat in a heatproof bowl set above simmering water, stirring occasionally.
3. Customize: Once fully liquified, let it cool slightly (around 50°C to 55°C / 120°F to 130°F). Stir in your desired skin-safe additives:
   • Fragrance/Essential Oils: 1% to 3% (approx. 10–30 g per 1 kg base).
   • Colorants: Mica powders, liquid soap dyes, or natural clays.
   • Exfoliants: Coffee grounds, colloidal oats, or dried petals.
4. Pour: Slowly pour the warm liquid into clean silicone soap moulds. Lightly mist the surface with rubbing alcohol (99% isopropyl alcohol) to disperse surface air bubbles instantly.
5. Cool & Unmould: Allow the soap to cool and harden completely at room temperature for 2 to 4 hours. Once solid, gently pop the bars out of the mould.
6. Wrap & Store: Melt and pour soap contains vegetable glycerin, which naturally draws moisture from the air. Wrap the finished bars tightly in plastic cling film or shrink-wrap immediately to prevent sweating.
